Rep. Doug Collins, R-Ga., would beat GOP Gov. Brian Kemp in a hypothetical match in the state’s 2022 gubernatorial race, a new poll shows.
The Trafalgar Group founder Robert Cahaly tweeted Saturday the survey began after President Donald Trump floated the possible matchup at a Dec. 4 campaign rally to whip up support for GOP Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, who face crucial races Tuesday that'll determine which party controls the Senate as President-elect Joe Biden takes office.
Collins is unemployed. A recall will give him something to do.
YAY! I pray that Collins presents a powerful campaign to unseat Kemp. He should start looking for LT gov. candidates and SOS candidates who are of like mind. Time to announce and get the candidacy rolling forward!
Doug should have been selected instead of the blonde bimbo.
2022 — HELL!
RECALL Kemp now!
Oh, and BTW, Sidney Powell stated that Collins WON his Senatorial election, but the Dominion machines flipped votes to Loeffler. The only reason she didn’t win was because there were three candidates involved and for the algorithm to be 100% accurate, they must know turnout (which is impossible). This is the reason why Team Trump had to dump her, because they couldn’t come out against Loeffler. This is also why Loeffler does not want ANY audit of the Dominion machines.
Not if Election Fraud is permitted to continue in Georgia.
I’ve looked into Georgia’s recall laws long before 2020.
The laws make it theoretically possible to do a recall, but practically impossible. Most recall laws nationally work this way.
It will take 1.5 million signatures to recall Gavin Newsom. Calif. has 5 million Republicans, most of them angry. They’re still 800k short.
Collins would beat Kemp in the primary, then lose in the general. Unfortunately, Warnock and Ossoff are neck-and-neck with Loeffler and Perdue not because the latter aren’t right wing enough. GA is moving leftward. I gotta wonder how much of that comes from the movement of showbiz people to the state, thanks to the subsidies provided by various GOP governors, who seem blind to, or indifferent to the fact that demographics is destiny, and that relates to occupational categories in addition to immigration status, race and ethnicity.
Ambitious pols love term limits, because it provides them a way to lever themselves to the top. But term limits mean a short term focus. Governors push policies that are long-term disasters because they’ll never have to deal with the fallout. All elected officials already have built-in term limits - their tenure is restricted to how long they can continue winning a majority of the popular vote. Fixed term limits merely gild the lily.
Exactly. RECALL and throw Kemp and Brad The Rat out on the streets.
“Collins is unemployed. A recall will give him something to do.”
A recall probably costs the same or more than running an election campaign. Then it would be followed shortly by all the fundraising to run a campaign. The same people would likely be the donors to both, but they would be less likely to donate to a subsequent campaign, which would hobble the candidate.
In my opinion, recall campaigns may be cathartic, but strategically, they are probably not the best way to go.
Polls will only be accurate if you poll those who commit the voter fraud.
If Collins had been selected, we'd be referring to his opponent as Senator-elect Warnock, rather than dealing with a runoff. Collins could probably sleep through any number of terms in his old highly-Republican House district. Statewide office is a horse of a different color. Statewide GA elections have been trending Democrat for decades. For the Dems, at the presidential level, purple state status is now within reach.
So what your saying is that Kemp is better at playing down the middle?
And now you know why he was not.Kemp is dirty as hell.
Yes indeed.
[So what your saying is that Kemp is better at playing down the middle?]
It would be great if he were elected and proceeded to clean up Georgia’s voter rolls and bring in clear and lawful election rules.
Unless this is fixed, we are no longer a republic, or even a democracy, but an oligarchy that pays lip service to the people even as they enrich themselves and impoverish the middle class.
Do the recall around June. Fewer people show up to vote-advantage GOP. We’re just more angry.
