This issue is where David Knight went after Trump. Knight was all anti vaxx. Alex fired him. Anomaly is also mad at lockdowns and vaccines. Attacked Trump.

In an article from Pew Research: Overall, 60% of Americans say they would definitely or probably get a vaccine for the coronavirus, if one were available today, up from 51% who said this in September. About four-in-ten (39%) say they definitely or probably would not get a coronavirus vaccine, though about half of this group – or 18% of U.S. adults – says it’s possible they would decide to get vaccinated once people start getting a vaccine and more information becomes available. Yet, 21% of U.S. adults do not intend to get vaccinated and are “pretty certain” more information will not change their mind.

21% of our population is close to 70 Million people that are flat refusing to take it, period. I also identified in the LATimes article that about the same percentage of doctors are refusing it also.

I use a military hospital and they have had their first rounds of which no one can refuse an order to take it...article 92. They are not pleased. And the military is shipping the Moderna overseas for active duty while the Pfizer is staying stateside. That throw up a red flag?

If this stuff was trustworthy and was not a danger in any way, why are 20% of civilian doctors refusing it? And why is it not as effective with minorities?

https://healthitanalytics.com/news/ai-shows-covid-19-vaccines-may-be-less-effective-in-racial-minorities

Additionally, and as the professionals know, these two vaccines have not completed the real world evaluations to determine their abilities. From the headlines, you might well assume that these vaccines will protect 95 out of 100 people who get them. But that’s not actually what the trials have shown. Exactly how the vaccines perform out in the real world will depend on a lot of factors we just don’t have answers to yet — such as whether vaccinated people can get asymptomatic infections and how many people will get vaccinated. And the Food and Drug Administration had said it would have considered granting emergency approval for vaccines that showed just 50 percent effectiveness.

These are part of the reasons such a large amount of professionals and citizens are wary of the vaccines. They haven’t been evaluated yet in real world conditions so it is still a crapshoot. Many are still waiting for results.

It is put out by quantities of health professionals.

I figure my responsibility is to take as good care of my body as I can.

I will do what I can with what I can control, and what I can’t control, God can. My life is in His hands. I’ll go when and how HE decides.

“I’m outraged that treatments such as ivermectin and HCQ+zinc have been suppressed by the powers that be and figure big pharma has a hand in that.)”

You should be.

The FDA has statutory requirements that must be met prior to granting an Emergency Use Authorization for a vaccine.

One is that there cannot be a effective, available approved alternative.

Perhaps this is why Fauci discredited HCQ.

"Over 65 and have been on HCQ + zinc as prophylaxis since April."

How? How are you on HCQ? I thought it was banned.

"From the earliest days of this never ending ChiCom/Democrat tragedy, President Trump has advocated for therapeutics like Hydroxychloroquine to be sold over the counter to fight this disease. Why has he not been able to get this through?"

I'm with you on that. WHY won't they release Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ)?? If they would, we wouldn't need the vaccine, and we could open everything up, yes?

I appreciate your detailed reply, and I certainly don’t believe the vaccine should be mandated - but my original question remains (slightly rephrased): If it’s so dangerous/worrisome, why would 80% of civilian doctors be willing to take it?

Run along and get your 35% effective flu vaccine, or your 97% but untested covid vaccine.

Vaccines are meant for truly dangerous diseases, with high mortality rates and of course effective at what they purport to protect from. It is a choice to get one, so go ahead. I simply do not need any vaccinations. I choose to take care of myself through diet and supplements.

That is the thing with pro-vaxxers. They are not content with being happy for themselves. Their doxy requires that all fall in line or it destroys their safety net.

Studies on the effectiveness in the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 for Vitamin C, D and Zinc have yet to give conclusive results.

All three aid in keeping the immune system in healthy function. Whether that improved function has any effect with C-19 is still under study. So people are keeping their supplementation up with the recommended daily dosages as insurance. A good multivitamin will do that with little chance of overdosing.

Some people think that taking a little more than recommended will further reduce their chances of catching or having a life threatening infection. Don’t do it. Normal supplementation may make sure your immune system is running on all four wheels, but adding a fifth does no good. If anything, overdosing on zinc or Vitamin D may go into toxicity. For instance, Vitamin D toxicity might progress to bone pain and kidney problems, such as the formation of calcium stones. Zinc toxicity may lead to stomach cramps, diarrhea, and headaches. Long term overdosing will actually lead to lower immunity.

If you suspect you have overdosed on any of those supplements, the Poison Control Center is 1-800-222-1222.

Most multivitamins have a fraction of the vitamin D that older people in northern climates, especially, need throguh the winter. It would take absolutely massive supplement dosages to get to the toxicity you are suggesting.

And C is water based: people basically piss out the excess.

I was not concerned about Vitamin C. Zinc and Vitamin D need to be treated with care. Most multivitamins will have a safe dosage. With zinc, The National Institutes of Health considers 40 mg of zinc a day to be the upper limit dose for adults. Many multivitamins will not have that dosage of zinc. What you get in your normal diet should get you the amount you need. With Vitamin D you have to consider how much natural Vitamin D you get from sunlight, eggs, cereal, milk and fish. Recommended supplement is 400–800 IUs.

Don’t increase your supplementation by doubling up on your multivitamin.

Vitamin D seems pretty safe even at high levels of supplementation.

You have no clue what you are talking about with D or zinc. Though yes, people shouldn’t go overboard with zinc, 400 to 800 is way too low for many people in winter months especially. Lots of studies and doctors confirm this.

Here is the product label for Nature Made Men's Multivitamin Tablets. Notice the amounts for Vitamin D and Zinc. This reputable manufacture would not make a multivitamin with higher than necessary doses. It is USP certified and a best buy (Amazon, $10.78 for 90 tablets):

If you have a healthy diet, perhaps you would be wasting your money on a multivitamin. If you do have a highly restricted or poor diet, suffer from a gastrointestinal problem that impairs nutrient absorption such as celiac disease, or take certain medications including proton pump inhibitors for heartburn, then you may need a multivitamin and/or a specific nutrient supplement. I am sure your doctor has advised you to take a multivitamin. I take one as a dietary insurance for healthy nutrition.

You have no clue.

Many doctors, including mine, recommend further vitamin D supplementation where I live.

Here are some Nature Made vitamin D offerings:

https://www.naturemade.com/collections/vitamin-d

There have been a gazillion medical studies on the insufficiency of many “recommended” vitamin supplementation levels for many circumstances.

Since you have no clue, maybe you shouldn’t go offering your medical advice on the subject here on FR. Certainly not with your ignorant snottiness, at least.
