Wuhan virus -
Headline on Israel news - “The 17% Unvaccinated Make Up 60% of Deaths This Week” What they don’t clearly say is that 40% of deaths were from vaccinated.

New research from George Washington University has determined that treating COVID patients with aspirin reduced the risk of severe illness by nearly half.
The report noted that an aspirin regimen in more than 400 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the United States cut the need for ventilation by 44%, slashed ICU admission by 43%, and reduced overall in-hospital mortality rates by 47%.
A related research study came to a similar conclusion -

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order Monday prohibiting COVID-19 vaccine mandates by any “entity,” including employers, if someone objects to the vaccine for “any reason of personal conscience.”

Economy -
More coal shortage woes. 80% of India’s 135 coal-powered plants had less than 8 days of supplies left — more than half of those had stocks worth two days or fewer. Coal accounts for around 70% of India’s electricity generation. By comparison, over the last four years, the average coal inventory that power plants had was around 18 days worth of supply.
OBSERVATION - Shutdown of power yields shut down of factories and those effects will ripple across the region and the world. Demand for coal is causing prices to skyrocket.

With transportation / supply distribution in a total tails spin, increasing attention is coming to bear on Transportation Scty Buttigieg. Two months ago biden said they would get the situation under control. Buttigieg is his point man to get it done. “The supply chain disruption is a crisis,” Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) tweeted on Monday. “This will impact every American, especially those who can least afford it. It’s past time for President Biden and Pete Buttigieg to explain what they’re doing about this.”
Industry analysts indicate that on just the container ship side of the house, the log jams will continue into 2023.
Also of note - increasing emphasis on purchasing for Christmas now as the supply logjam is expected to mean empty shelves during the Christmas season.

House passed and biden signed the budget ceiling delay.

Biden watch -
Biden administration continues to buy Chinese drones for federal law enforcement, in the face of national security concerns. Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo on Sunday ““Like so much that Biden administration has done on national security lately, this makes very little sense,” Ratcliffe said. “It’s harmful to our national security. And also, Chinese drone technology is not as good as U.S. drone technology. So it’s hard to make sense out of what’s doing this, other than it is consistent with the Biden administration taking a softer approach, trying to promote a false narrative that somehow China is a competitor and not an adversary.””

NOTE - not enforceable in the US but is a potential development of a global trend.

Domestic Terror -
AQ has put out a video threatening the US with attacks “more painful than 9/11”.
OBSERVATION - IMHO I don’t think AQ is in a position yet to pull this off on the scale threatened, but does have the capability to conduct smaller scale operations.

Some observers are watching closely to see if radical environmental groups followthrough with threats to sabotage national transportation hubs to further its war to impose green agenda items. This has resulted the past in with attempted and successful train derailments in Washington state. Targets being discussed include pipelines and “choke points for the U.S. economy” — namely major ports and transportation hubs which could be shut down through activism. Purpose would be to demonstrate - in their minds -the failure of capitalism to address the needs of the country and world.

Cyber Warfare -
The Microsoft Threat Intelligence Center (MSTIC) announced on Monday that Iranian hackers successfully targeted US and Israeli defense technology companies.
More than 250 Microsoft Office 365 accounts linked to the US, EU and the Israeli government were hacked into through extensive password spraying.
In addition, Persian Gulf ports of entry and global maritime transportation companies with business presence in the Middle East were also targeted.

China -
China’s military said on Monday it had carried out beach landing and assault drills in the province directly across the sea from Taiwan, though it did not link the exercises to current tensions with Taipei. The drills appeared to involve a small number of troops.
The weather was clear and the seas were calm - suggesting the drill did not happen on Monday as southern Fujian is currently being affected by a tropical storm passing between Taiwan and the Philippines.

Iranian state television is claiming that its navy chased a US fleet in the Persian Gulf. Video footage showing Revolutionary Guards cheering as they tailgated the American vessels, was released by the ICRG. The US vessel in the clip is a Riverine Command Boat, a 52ft quick military assault seacraft that is often deployed in the Strait. No comment from the Navy at this time.

Misc of Note - Going Galt?
SW Airlines follow up. Monday there were nearly 400 cancelations. As I type, only 89 cancellations have been reported. Evidence is strong, this was a sickout warning to the airline. Gov Abbott’s of Texas may have provided cover with his executive order forbidding job firings on the basis of vaccination. SW is under the mandate for Defense contractors to be fully vaccinated and not the news release ‘mandate’ against 100+ sized businesses.

More federal pushback? The deadline for federal employees at the Veterans Administration to provide proof of vaccination was Friday. As it turns out, there are still more than 45,000 VA workers who have not provided a CDC card or other proof of vaccination.

Another sickout appears to have hit Washington state. Friday, Washington State Ferries saw more cancelations than they usually see in an entire year, according to officials. Staff with WSF say there were 157 sailing cancelations on Friday. On average, there are about four cancelations per month. A spokesman for the state ferry service tried to avoid the issue of wuhan virus jab mandates by blaiming other personnel issues.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order Monday prohibiting COVID-19 vaccine mandates by any “entity,” including employers, if someone objects to the vaccine for “any reason of personal conscience.”

As well as conscience, religious and medical reasons are in there, including having recovered from covid:

Back and trying to consolidate the past week. Some of the following is just a summary of what I read.
________________________________

Wuhan virus -
The maelstrom of government mandates continues. Increasing numbers of reports that the media has been unable to keep down on how the jab is actually lowering the body’s natural immune system in addition to failing to prevent infections and infect may be creating more resistant versions.
biden administration is tripling down on mandated vaccination, holding a hard line on the non-mandated mandates that are already starting to strip needed workers for multiple sectors of the country.
- Police and other first responders
- Hospital staff
- Schools
- government workers (sniff sniff)
- other sectors.
These are stacked on already difficult markets to get workers.

Globalism / Great Reset -
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky said on this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” that the Biden administration has a plan for the “education and counseling” of essential workers so they are comfortable getting vaccinated.
OBSERVATION - Some are saying that this ‘education and counseling’ are steps to internment camps/facilities like have been established in Australia and Canada.

UN is warning that failure for the world to achieve global warming control at the ongoing Cop26 summit in Glasgow “could plunge the world into chaos, sparking migration crises alongside food shortages, political disorder and war,”
OBSERVATION - Dissuasions on the globalist left are once again focusing on a global warning shut down modeled after the wuhan shutdown - noting how pliant the citizenry was to the initial lockdowns.

Economy -
The sausage factory that is creation of this ‘infrastructure’ bill continues. Democrats now say the $3.5 trillion “human infrastructure”plan will likely end up closer to $2 trillion, though that figure still remains too high for many lawmakers. Less spending candy and fewer taxes are also not setting well on the progressive/marxist left. Pelosi has set an arbitrary Oct 31 deadline to get the measure passed.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen continues to insist that price inflation — food, fuel, and all the rest — is temporary:
“Americans haven’t seen inflation like we have experienced recently in a long time. But as we get back to normal, expect that to end,” Yellen told CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday. She said she expects “improvement” by the “second half of next year.”
OBSERVATION - Many others continue to warn of hyperinflation - one being Twitter’s Dorsey (“Hyperinflation is going to change everything. It’s happening.— jack
(@jack) October 23, 2021
It will happen in the US soon, and so the world.— jack
(@jack) October 23, 2021 )
and another being economist Larry Summers, who has warned that the U.S. is in danger of losing control of inflation.
OBSERVATION - The “transitory” meme of inflation continues to fall apart under realities of current living.

biden’s claim to have the shipping ports surge to 24/7 has not panned out. Follow up by some MSM elements show that unloading operations are not accelerating.
OBSERVATION - The real problem IMHO is on the trucking side. First - there is a nation wide shortage of truck drivers. Second, Kalifornia has passed laws that restrict the age of trucks (under CARB regulations) as well as prohibiting the use of independent truckers. This past summer, Union Pacific has to shut down container trains because its operations in Chicago didn’t have the trucks to move them and operations there were backing up.

Invasion of Illegals -
Another huge mass of illegals is pressing northward through Mexico - overwhelming some police elements attempting to stop the move.
September/end of FY2021 reports of border apprehensions is scary. The most striking increase from August to September was the number of Border Patrol encounters with migrants from Haiti, which more than doubled, from 7,580 in August to 17,638 last month (an increase of 132.7 percent), according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data released on Friday.
Overall, the number of migrant encounters on the border in September, 192,001, took the annual total for FY 2021 to 1,734,686, breaking the previous record-high (1,643,679 in FY 2000) by 91,007. The majority of migrants apprehended along the southern border having entered the U.S. without relevant documentation come from Mexico and the northern triangle countries of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.

biden administration was caught flying illegals into numerous cities throughout the country under the cover of darkness.

The US customs and State Dept have allowed Afghanistan “refugees” with criminal backgrounds to be distributed across the US. One such ‘refugee’ recently raped a young girl in Montana - and his previous criminal history was known to the govt and he was still allowed in the country.
______________________________

Biden watch -
The Wall Street Journal is expressing alarm at the increasingly apparent loss of mental facilities of biden. In a tweet they said -
“We take no pleasure in pointing this out, since the U.S. needs a President who can handle the the strains of the job. Mr. Biden was never Demosthenes, and all Presidents stumble in speech. But Mr. Biden’s frequent public confusion about the major issues of the day is a reason for growing public concern.”

biden in a staged town hall said the US would defend Taiwan - a statement quickly walked back by the WH press.
___________________________

CW2/Domestic violence -
Still relatively quiet, though a few hundred went on a vandalism spree in Portland.

AG Garland was in the hot seat defending his letter that essentially called parents ‘domestic terrorists’. No backtracking by the AG but the hearings did bring the issue out of the shadows.
OBSERVATION - Another division being created by the administration. Already we hqve
- Red vs Blue
- vax vs unvaxxed
- legal vs illegal immigration.
- CRT vs non CRT
- mask vs unmasked
- mandate vs no mandate
- 2d amendment issues
- ‘voting rights’ vs protection of legitimate votes
And the list can go on. The cumulative result is elimination of any common ground - facilitating a potential kinetic senenario.
___________________________________

Domestic Terror -
The illegal immigrant crisis is being compounded by over ten thousand Afghanis being released in the country without any identification.

Strategic Developments /Deployments -
US military if facing potentially devastating reliance on Chinese made batteries for its equipment.

biden administration forced to admit that over 300 Americans are still trapped in Afghanistan - exposed for lying on the number of citizens stranded in the country.

China -
The reports that China launched two major hypersonic warhead tests has shaken the intel/military in the US. First is that they though China didn’t have the technology but the second is the nature of the delivery. This delivery method is called Fractional Orbital Bombardment System which sends missiles through a partial orbit around the earth to strike targets from an unexpected direction. The Soviet Union investigated it during the cold war, but with the arrival of maneuverable hypersonic warheads China seems to be taking a second look at the method. Some think this will produce an essentially undetectable first strike capability but they are only partially correct. US satellites would detect the thermal signature of the launch, but the suborbital track of the warheads would be essentially untraceable/detectable.

Last week, China and Russian naval vessels conducted naval exercises that also included passage through Japanese claimed waters.

See India/China

China continues to threaten Taiwan. “The CPC’s warning against secessionism is not just talking the talk, and whether the final solution of Taiwan question will be peaceful or not, the secessionists will be judged, condemned and punished,” the CCP’s mouthpiece Global Times tweeted.

China’s Evergrande crisis is spreading to the rest of the property sector, with numerous companies defaulting. Fantasia, Sinic and China Properties Group are among the other developers to have failed to meet payments. This “Lehman” moment hangs like a sword of Damocles over the fundamentals of the country.

OBSERVATIONS - China is having to keep more and more balls in the air
Taiwan
Gross electrical power shortages - rolling blackouts continue
More crop losses
Competition with the US
India standoff
Aggression in the S China sea.
Other wuhan woes.

If China mishandles these, the dominos may well start falling and I would think the risk of a major war (to unify the country and deflect public ire) would increase.

India/China -
Tensions are on the rise. According to unverified reports, troops from both sides have been briefly detained by the other, as military positions are fortified and talks to deescalate the situation seem at an impasse. Additionally, India has moved advanced ADA into the region, designed optionally against drones but also capable of engaging jets.
OBSERVATION - Not sure China can fight two wars at once (Taiwan being the second), but some think that China may strike this region first.

A coup is under way in Sudan, where the military has dissolved civilian rule, arrested political leaders and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok is among those reported to have been detained and put under house arrest, along with members of his cabinet and other civilian leaders. They are part of a transitional government designed to steer Sudan towards democracy after the rule of former president, Omar al-Bashir.

Israel -
Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs acknowledges the reported Israeli strikes in the Quneitra area last night, according to the state-run SANA broadcaster. Attack was reportedly launched from Israeli Apache helicopters.

Talks between Israel and Russia are reportly indicating that Russia is tacitly permitting continued Israeli airstrikes in Syria, primary against Iranian/Hezebollah targets. Russia has long warned Israel to keep its warplanes away from Russian bases, and that’s likely still part of the understanding.

Black Swans -
Many Israeli watchers tend to note that bad things have happened whenever the US has done anything unseemly towards Israel - especially if it regards splitting Jerusalem. New this week that the US is looking to reopen a palestinian consulate in east Jerusalem (closed by Trump) instead in Ramallah where the PA has its govt is one such action. I won’t say this weekend’s record setting storm in Kaliforna is that response, but something to keep one’s eyes open for in the coming weeks.
