In response to the riot at the Capitol last week, the Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement (RAM) announced the formation of an overt militant wing in order to “defend people from the state and fascists.” According to RAM, the Revolutionary Abolitionist Front (RAF) will provide security at disruptions, help build “wider uprisings,” conduct training, establish safe houses for Leftists, and halt evictions. In addition, the group will conduct “militant patrols” of communities and surveil law enforcement — an activity referred to as “copwatch.” (FO)

Both left and right are considering ways to target politicians and relative supporters following Jan 6, and especially after Jan 20th. The left has developed sophisticated intelligence collection on their opponents using a wide variety of open source information as well as poor opsec on the right.

CYBER FRONT -
Twitter is whining about the fact that Uganda has blocked it to prevent election interference during its election.

So much going on I missed this one. GoDaddy deplatformed the biggest gun forum - AR15.com. The site was able to quickly able to create a temporary URL to maintain continuity No reason for the de-platforming has been given by GoDaddy.

POLITICAL FRONT -
House approved a resolution yesterday calling for VP Pence to remove Trump via 25th amendment. Pence said no. House moving forward with impeachment efforts. Liberal Allan Dershowitz has stated that “Its unconstitutional to impeach Trump for constitutionally protected speech.

House is voting on a resolution calling for impeachment. Reports suggest that McConnell is inclined to vote for impeachment conviction. Those reports are originating from leftist media, for are probably propaganda to influence opinion.

House Freedom Caucus Chair Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MT) (my rep!) called for Rep. Liz Cheney’s (R-WY) ouster as the House Republican Conference chairwoman Tuesday night after she came out in favor of impeaching President Donald Trump. In a statement, they said she broke the rules of the Republican conference and ignored the preference of republican voters, all for personal gain.

Yesterday, democrats introduced a bill to abolish the Electoral College. Looks like trying to do an end around to the constitution rather than a formal constitution change and the accompanying mandate for state ratification.

Israel -
Multiple reports are emerging that tonight’s airstrikes in eastern Syria, near the Iraqi-Syrian border, were extensive. Initial estimates are more than 18 airstrikes against multiple targets killed at least five Syrian soldiers and 11 Iran-backed militiamen. Reports indicate that the strikes were conducted with US knowledge and intelligence.

France and Germany are calling for a two state solution with Israeli borders back to the 1967 alignment. If Biden follows democrat precedent, he will likely support the call.

Cuba -
The US State Department on Monday imposed new sanctions on Cuba by re-designating the island nation a “sponsor of state terrorism.”
The state department accuses the socialist country of failing to uphold anti-terror promises it made when former President Barack Obama lifted the designation in 2015.

Wuhan Virus -
A WHO team has arrived in China to investigate the origin of the wuhan virus. They are under a 14 day quarantine before they can get to work. Just as the WHO team arrived, China announced it is locking down more than 22 million in their homes. Among the locales on lockdown were cities Shijiazhuang, Xingtai, and Langfang, along with counties in the Heilongjiang province and districts in the capital city of Beijing, The New York Times reported. Notably, per the report, the massive lockdowns – twice as large as the initial ones at the beginning of the Chinese outbreak – come as the country reported a mere average of 109 new cases a day in a country of 1.4 billion people.

Johnson & Johnson is on track to roll out its single-shot coronavirus vaccine in March, and expects to have clear data on how effective it is by the end of this month or early February, the U.S. healthcare company’s chief scientific officer, Dr. Paul Stoffels , said. BTW Stoffels is a World Economic Forum (WEF) attendee, the organization responsible for the ‘great reset’ doctrine.

Economy -
New weekly unemployment claims spiked far more than expected last week to reach a five-month high, as the coronavirus pandemic and stay-in-place orders weighed heavily on the labor market. Initial jobless claims, for the week ending Jan. 9: 965,000 vs. 789,000 expected and a revised 784,000 during the prior week, this is the highest level since August 2020. More than 18 million Americans were still claiming unemployment benefits of some form, including about 11.6 million individuals on pandemic-era federal unemployment programs.

Schumer has pledged to quickly pass funding for the additional $1400 checks for wuhan stimulus. However, even with control of the senate there is a question if the votes are there. One instance, Sen Manchin has said he would absolutely oppose the additional money. Biden is proposing a $2 trillion package versus Schumer’s $1.3 trillion.

2020 Election-

Chief of the National Guard Bureau, General Daniel Hokason, said, “We want our individuals to have the right to self-defense. If senior leadership determines that that’s the right posture to be in, then that is something we will do.”

CYBER FRONT -
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey issued a statement Wednesday addressing the social media giant’s decision to ban President Donald Trump from the platform for life. “If folks do not agree with our rules and enforcement, they can simply go to another internet service.” He went on to deny that the actions against Parler were coordinated but it is evident otherwise, particularly with other server providers following suit with Amazon.

This week, Facebook and Twitter collectively lost $51.2 billion in market value, Business Insider reported. Facebook’s stock market value dropped $47.6 billion while Twitter’s value dropped by $3.5 billion. Both Facebook and Twitter lost value on Monday and Tuesday, while Twitter regained some of its value on Wednesday with Facebook wavering at its previous closing level.

From VA Citizens Defense League - ”Yesterday, Mailchimp suspended VCDL’s VA-ALERT account claiming possible policy violation, but with no explanation of what policy was possibly violated and no warning. “

Gab managed to rescue and post on its site the entirety of President Trump’s tweets - much to the chagrin of the leftists.

CANCEL CULTURE FRONT -
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) says she is proud to join a growing list of conservatives who have been banned or shunned by college campuses. On Tuesday, the Harvard Kennedy School informed the conservative lawmaker that they have decided to boot her from the school’s Senior Advisory Committee for what they referred to as her baseless claims of voter fraud during the 2020 presidential election.

POLITICAL FRONT -
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the House Freedom Caucus chair and Judiciary Committee ranking member, called Wednesday for House Republicans to hold a vote to remove Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) as the House Republican Conference chair. This after Cheney lead 9 other republican congress critters to vote for impeachment today.

McConnell has rejected an emergency session to address the impeachment 2.0 of the president. Any ‘trial’ would have to occur during Biden’s term and would be unconstitutional as there is no legitimate authority to remove from office a citizen.

Former Fourth Circuit Judge Michael Luttig argues in a Washington Post column that a Senate trial would be unconstitutional. Luttig argues: “Once Trump’s term ends on Jan. 20, Congress loses its constitutional authority to continue impeachment proceedings against him—even if the House has already approved articles of impeachment.” The Constitution’s impeachment clauses presuppose that impeachment and removal of a president happen while in office.
As an example, Judge Luttig cites Article II, Section 4: “The president, vice president and all civil officers of the United States shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”
He also cites Article I, Section 3, which reads in part: “Judgment in cases of impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust or profit under the United States.”

Newly elected Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) announced on Wednesday that she would be filing articles of impeachment against President-elect Joe Biden on the first full day of his presidency. “I would like to announce on behalf of the American people, we have to make sure that our leaders are held accountable. We cannot have a president of the United States that is willing to abuse the power of the office of the presidency and be easily bought off by foreign governments, foreign Chinese energy companies, Ukrainian energy companies,” said Greene.

Strategic Developments /Deployments -
Nimitz CSG still operating in the Arabian Sea region.

North Korea -
The Workers Party Congress in North Korea produced a surprise this week, Kim’s sister, Kim Yo Jong, received what amounted to a demotion. Having previously been seen as a rising force in the family, she was not even named to the Politburo. Meanwhile, Kim was elevated from chairman to general secretary, a rank previously held by his late father and grandfather.

Iran -
Iran has started work on uranium metal-based fuel for a research reactor, the U.N. nuclear watchdog and Tehran said on Wednesday, in the latest breach of its nuclear deal with six major powers as the country presses for a lifting of U.S. sanctions. Iranian leadership has also said they have nothing to gain by going back to the nuclear agreement that Biden is pushing for and will continue on its own program no matter what.

Iran’s naval forces on Wednesday launched a major military drill in the country’s southern waters. The two-day missile exercise in the Gulf of Oman, code-named Eqtedar-99 (power), was attended by top military officials, including the chief of army staff, Gen. Hossein Baqeri.
MY OBSERVATIONS - Huge SIGNINT boon for our military. We’ve had a lot of platforms monitoring Iran lately and their arrogant exercise allow us a big advantage into understanding their operations and precursor signals/coms.
