Wonder what Kamalas father would say about that family tradition?
He didn’t like hearing her joke about smoking dope with Tupac.

He was out of the house when she was 5, divorced from Mom @ age 7, reportedly he was rarely seen confirmed by KH & Dad’s own writings.
KH, sister & Mom moved to canada when KH was 12. KH remained there until starting college, Mom stayed for longer. Kwanzaa invented when KH was 3, didn’t get traction in USA for a decade, didn’t appear in Canada until 1993, KH 31 years old at that time.
Questions:
Since Mom had emigrated to USA as a 19 year old alone and Dad was out of the picture where did the extended family come from?
Neither Jamaicans or Indians are celebrators of Kwanzaa, so whose tradition was being celebrated by generations?
Is it rational to believe an Indian woman with Indian-Jamaican children (not African American) celebrated an obscure holiday which was invented when her eldest child was 3 in a Country where Kwanzaa was unknow until 28 years later.
KH Mom was reportedly a politically active liberal and may have heard of the holiday but how does an invented holiday develop a rich multi-generational tradition.
