they have had their moments on the Malaysian border (the 1960’s war known as Konfrontasi) and occupied East Timor for over three decades ........ they have ad problems with /chines fishing boats and the Chinese coast guard coming way south of the Chinese coast but by and large Indonesia is a model of peace ....... a softer practice of Islam which Mike Pence has embraced as a model for the Islamic world ....... western countries could do well to look at the balance of faith in God and civilised patriotism in Indonesia’s national philosophy, PancaSila

I meant more it relation to their size. China, Russia, India, etc. get daily coverage of geo-political issues. I suspect if you asked Americans who the top 5 countries in size are, 90% would not include Indonesia. I don’t think I would have. That was my point.
