Go for it Roger. Put the bastards on the defensive for the way they treated you and your wife. I would include CNN in the suit. They beat you up all based on false evidence.
While I was not thrilled Stone was charged in the first place, he was found guilty and his appeal went no where. He also had a big mouth and made some outrageous statements.
Having said that I didn’t feel Stone should have been thrown in jail and I think Trump did the right thing by first commuting the sentence and then the full pardon.
Now that Stone is out of jail, it would be nice if Stone just went away.
What’s your posting name at DU?
Political persecution should be confronted , I would gladly contribute to a Roger Stone lawsuit against the swamp dwellers!!!
If everybody who lied in the House of Representatives was placed in jail, we would need more prisons.
RE: While I was not thrilled Stone was charged in the first place, he was found guilty and his appeal went no where. He also had a big mouth and made some outrageous statements.
So, every person with a big mouth deserves to be thrown in jail? Of course not. If so, then Chris Cuomo of CNN should deserve the same treatment as Roger Stone.
Those who FABRICATED the case against him and Donald Trump are the ones who deserves to have their day in court and if found to be fabricating evidence, either fined or thrown in jail.
And since Bill Barr’s DOJ and John Durnham are slow walking their investigation, I for one am interested to see how Roger Stone’s suit will fare. BRING IT ON!
Stone lied to Congress. He was not even subpoenaed. But he proceeded to think he was the smartest guy in the room as he was being asked questions.
He wasn’t and got tripped up. I’m amazed his attorney even let him raise his right hand given the circumstances.
Stone was treated badly by Mueller et al. The raid at his office was outrageous and theatre orchestrated by Mueller’s team.
The initial commutation and then pardon was justified given Mueller’s conduct. But lying to Congress? Stone owns that.
Oh, come on. Your account was created 12 days ago and you’re calling people out? Get back in the basement.
Stone’s crime was supporting POTUS. We are all guilty of such a crime. The lying to Congress stuff was just a pretext to throw him in jail.
Fair enough - he should not have testified then.
And once the Democrats consolidate their power, they will come after us.
That picture is something else. Are those guys wearing body armor?
Yet, they have their weapons ready to... what? Shoot out the doorbell?
RE: Stone lied to Congress. He was not even subpoenaed. But he proceeded to think he was the smartest guy in the room as he was being asked questions.
Eric Holder and Lois Lerner both were found in CONTEMPT of Congress. Their actions DIRECTLY HARMED people ( in Lerner’s case, she used the resources of the IRS to deny Tea Party organizations the right and ability to organize ).
What did they get for being cited in contempt? Both still have their fat pensions and Eric Holder still gets paid big bucks for giving speeches.
Were their homes or offices raided?
Now, WHO was harmed by Roger Stone? The victim of this whole scam was in fact President Trump himself!
Comparing the severity of the felony and the number of victims because of this, I would say that Holder and Lerner BOTH deserve jail time and greater punishment.
So, if Congress and the DOJ want to get their credibility back, they MUST insist on EQUAL TREATMENT UNDER THE LAW. Otherwise, the law is meaningless and lying to them will simply be a politically expedient act.
And oh, BTW, have I mentioned Hillary Clinton? Lesser people have been fired and jailed for committing similar offenses that she committed. Where’s equal justice before the law?
SO, FIRST THINGS FIRST — PUNISH Eric Holder and Lois Lerner. And oh yeah, PUNISH HILARY CLINTON !!
Absent that, Anything going forward means nothing.
Agreed 100%. There really are two sets of ways people get treated.
I’m only referring to Stone lying to Congress. Unless they grant some form of immunity, he should have never testified.
The stuff with Mueller was a disgrace.
No. When bullied, if you just take it and walk away it will continue. If not for you, then for someone else. So if you have the resources you punch back at the bullies and make them hurt.
The way courts are acting now days I wouldn’t put much faith in them.
sue the CIA News Network (CNN) too, Roger.
I think you forgot the sarcasm notation, or are you seriously saying that he has no case of “political prosecution” and Brady violations? Please enlighten us.
Sue the bastards for every penny they have. Frickers deserve jail!!
Roger that
