The hills of Fremont are about 95% Chinese.

Not going to argue with you but I don’t get it because it doesn’t square with my observations. I’ve got to know many Chinese quite well over the years and most of them hate anything to do with China (other than the food). The ones I know hate the CCP.... and their families cringe at what Mao did to them and what their families had to do to both escape and survive what he did. Many of these people are the staunchest capitalists I’ve had the pleasure of knowing.
That was true of the first wave. Most of them really were refugees.
The people coming in the last 30 years are simply opportunists.
Have worked with many of them over the last 4 decades in the Valley and I have heard things like “I’m a banana, I hate myself”, or the guy from HK who admitted that HK Chinese “hated the British” even though they created a fabulous economy.
It’s only natural. They’re racists just like most humans. There’s no precedent for mixing it up with people you have nothing in common with.
But the insane asylum known as the United States no longer acknowledges fundamental human norms, and tries to force a fictitious social order on the original populace, against their wishes. So much for Democracy.
