We went to a “Christmas Village” this past Sunday. I expected about a hundred people to be there, but there were probably 2500-3000. There were probably 250 people in the big, mess hall-style restaurant alone.

No one seemed the least bit concerned about socialist distancing and only about 3% of the people were wearing masks.

It was the first time in months I’ve been around any large group of people where mask-wearers were in the vast minority, and stood out as the weirdos.

It really was a mood-lifter to see so many people acting sensible for a change.

Highly coincidental that these “new variants” of the “disease” come out right on schedule, a few days after the vaccines are distributed. If one didn’t know better, one might think this whole thing is scripted to cause maximum damage to the middle class of western economies.

No one ever seems to ask if the “new variants” are the regular old flu. That wouldn’t be “scary” enough, though.

I just ran the USA numbers...

18.2 million confirmed cases.

CDC estimates the total number of USA infections is at least 4X higher than the confirmed number.

So, 18.2 million X 4 = 72.8 million total infections.

322,000 confirmed USA deaths.

Infection Fatality Rate equals 322,000 divided by 72.8 million.

USA COVID IFR = 0.44%

The IFR for a severe flu season is at least 0.15%.

So, at most, C-19 is three times more deadly than severe flu - but - still a fraction of 1%.

Bottom Line...

Protect the aged and the infirm.

Everyone else, go back to your normal life.

Panic is now the permanent means used by the elite to control the masses of peasants. They drug them with the media and send periodic “stimulus” checks while raking in millions for themselves with foreign aid and domestic program kickbacks.

Is there ANY historical evidence of an infectious respiratory virus mutating into a more dangerous and virulent virus?

Spanish Flu. First wave that came through was a bad flu season, but after a couple mutations it came back and wiped out tons of people.

Likewise, almost any outbreak of swine flu or avian flu is from a virus that was harmless to humans, or even couldn't make the jump. But, after several mutations, can now infect humans and even may have pretty bad symptoms.

Viri are always mutating, but just like any creature, most of the mutations are minor ones that don't do anything, or even detrimental, whether to that individual, or their offspring. Take for instance the spike protein. There's one version that fits the dock, a couple minor mods that make it fit much better or about the same, and then hundreds of variations that just don't fit at all. So for any given mutation, say 500/1000 are about the same, 2/1000 are more effective, and 498/1000 prevent the virus from spreading further. So yes, most viri will slowly weaken and die off. but the occasional one will become much more powerful. But then you mix this across hundreds of variables, and you need a combination of multiple factors being strong, to give you the ultimately strong variation.
