You don't think the Democrats will check the signatures on the recall petitions very carefully? They already did such checks to keep the Green Party off the ballots in several states last November.

For years I belonged to a labor union. And like with most unions, the leadership was very liberal. At meetings the union president would tell us how bad the GOP was. For example, the evil GOP wants to use ID laws to disenfranchise voters!

But to get into these meetings you had to show your union card. And you had to be vouched for by someone working the door. Just one or the other wasn’t good enough.

(Side note: while the leadership was very liberal, the membership was not. So how does the leadership get re-elected year after year? I could tell you stories that would make Stalin blush.)

All the states need to amend their constitutions, not only to require that medical experts with control over the people be elected by citizens, but also to trigger automatic recall elections for governors and mayors who order quarantines.
