Make no mistake about it - Assange and Snowden did enormous damage to the United States.

On the other hand, they exposed the official corruption and abuses of political and government power that has become an existential threat to America.

My basic assumptions of the legitimacy of our justice and intelligence systems have been totally destroyed. It is becoming obvious that theses institutions have become so corrupted that they no longer serve the national interests, they work contrary to it.

They have become an American version of the old East German secret police, the STASI, and act as enforcers to intimidate and destroy the perceived enemies (ie America's normals in fly over) of the Deep State apparatus (ie American's version of the old Soviet nomenklatura class) . They pose an existential threat to the United States unless reformed.

Both deserve pardons.

Especially Assange.

With what is just now finally coming out about Hillary Clinton and the Obama Admin, th FBI, the CIA and DOJ it is no exaggeration to say he may have saved our country.

“ Assange and Snowden did enormous damage to the United States.”

Besides exposing illegal activity by the government and high-place politicians, what damage did they do? Please provide specifics, not generalized quotes about generalized “damage” from government officials who are mad their illegalities were revealed. Thanks.

Pardoning Assange and Snowden, and declassifying documents would be the type of bold strike against the Deep State that should've defined the Trump Presidency. If he doesn't do these things prior to leaving when he could have, it's hard to take him seriously.

I'd say they did enormous damage to the caste of parasites who claim to be the United States. Initiatives by that caste that the information releases damaged needed to be damaged.
