I'm not trying to start a pi$$ing contest here because if China interfered in our elections it should absolutely be brought to light.

Having said that, the United States has interfered in dozens of foreign elections since the end of the Second World War.

We can pretend to be angry about any Chinese interference, but we shouldn't pretend to be shocked.
