Don’t charge your electric toothbrush on the counter behind the toilet and flush the toilet with the lid up. That’s really asking for it!

“It’s been a scam to wield control for almost a year and we’ve all known it.”

Agreed. This is how out of control our country has become.

“and flush the toilet with the lid up. ‘’

Read a Dave Barry article years ago that discussed this.

Too funny.

My brother and my sister-in-law in Northern CA caught COVID about three weeks ago and underwent some hellish symptoms, but they’re recovered now, though my brother is still battling a loss of smell and taste, and is still trying to recover his energy.

Transplant recipients may have an advantage if infected. The immunosuppressants taken may suppress some of the immune system overreaction in some patients that turns deadly.

Many transplant recipients take steroids like prednisone, which is being used currently to treat non-transplant patients with significant symptoms. Another immunosuppressant, tacrolimus, has already been previously shown to reduce cytokine storms.

So, transplant recipients often get sick with the virus, but are already taking drug regimens which reduce the worst possible results.

I think these reported deaths are primarily those of people who are under a doctor’s care or in the hospital. I understand there are instances of other people being found dead in their homes where it was not clear what they died of. I know at least one of these was autopsied and then later reported as a Covid death.

Nurse here. Doesn’t only effect 80 yo. Don’t know why you say that. I spoke with 40 yo no underlying health conditions- he could not breathe- literally could not finish a sentence. Told him to call 911- had covid pneumonia- going to be a very long recovery. Many have lasting heart or lung damage

Thanks. I learned the one yesterday from my dental hygienist! This virus infects the lungs and the intestinal tract. The plume from an open flushed toilet can (supposedly) put virus aerosol into the air.

My coworkers daughter has heart damage as a result of the virus. She had no underlying health conditions. She is 32.

According to the CDC, only 6% of the deaths from covid are really caused by covid.

Using that math, 6% of 4 deaths, is .24 people who died. It will take at least three more days for a whole person to have died.

The testing is unreliable and suspect. The death numbers are manipulated and suspect as well.

I would no believe any of the official statistics being reported at all.

That many people have died from other cases and we are no shutting down the economy and the society for them.

It's all a bunch BS.

Well, I’d say that the people who should be careful are in their 70’s.

A couple of good decades left of life, if you’re lucky and careful.

At 80, you can be more bold.

At 90, all bets are off. If you’ve made it this far, you should be able to do what ever the hell you want to do, and anyone who questions you should be ignored.

Bullshit.

A lot of other medical conditions are real, serious and kill people. We're not shutting down the economy and destroying our society over them.

This covid has a 99.8% survivability rate. In plain English, that means almost no one dies from it. And those that do, probably would have died from one of the comorbidity issues that they have, anyway. 80% of the deaths are people over the age of 65 who have other medical issues that compromise their immune systems.

Nothing we do will "eradicate" this virus. It is an inert dead particle that is part of our environment. It is not going away. It's part of the risk of living on earth.

The corona virus "pandemic" is just the medical version of climate change which is not real either and is being exploited in much the same way.

You've fallen for the scam.

"Long-standing" maintained health issues? When people talk about so many having other issues, and thus didn't die from COVID, I have to ask "were they actively dying when they got the virus?" If they just had diabetes or dementia or painful rectal itch and were not in immediate danger of dying, then the virus killed them. If a guy with stage 4 cancer stepped in front of a diesel truck (accidentally), you would say he was killed by the truck, not the cancer.

I’ve NEVER advocated shutting down anything.

What I have done, and what many Freepers for whatever bizarre reason have not appeared to do, is to take the virus very seriously.

That means doing the few things we can do to minimize spread. That means respecting that the virus IS real, and it CAN either kill you, or cause long lasting (perhaps permanent) health issues.

Why FR and the broader R party seem intent on minimizing the risk of the virus is beyond me. And to your point about “99.8%” survivability - I hope that you and others realize that is based on ASSUMED “Infection” Fatality Rate (IFR) which is of course a pure and total GUESS as no-one knows the actual # of infected due to all the cases not in the “official” case count, NOT CASE Fatality Rate (CFR). CFR is roughly 15 - 20X+ that of the flu. But as I’ve repeatedly said, it is not just deaths that people need to worry about. There are tens of thousands of cases (Google “long haul COVID” it if you don’t believe me) of lasting COVID symptoms that messes people up for a VERY long time - as in months, and months, and months. (I personally know of people suffering from this). Many of these situations may be permanent - it’s too soon to tell. So it is not as I’ve said at least several dozen times “just” the # dead (which is currently 1.8% CFR in the US and 2.4% CFR here in MI). It’s the # who have and apparently will continue to have pretty serious lingering health affects that we “should” also recognize and be concerned about.

BTW, what’s even sadder about FR and our broader party’s insistence on not treating this more seriously is that is if we had, we may have never gotten into this situation where the Dem pols think the only solution is to shut things down. Yeah - we could have actually kept things open (like many other countries including Taiwan, Hong Kong and New Zealand who DID take it seriously managed to do) and taken away their reasons for shutdown if we had all pulled together, acted like we were taking it seriously, and actually done the few simple things we could have done to limit the spread and the # of cases. We basically played right into the hands of people like Newsom, Whitmer, Cuomo and others.
