There is more to it than that.

There is also Tendency for Interpersonal Victimhood, or TIV, *by proxy*

That is, they less see themselves as victims, than someone else, most likely a group as being victimized; so it is up to them to stand up for these victims without being asked to.

For example, a white person approaches another white person who has dreadlocks, and accuses them of “cultural appropriation.”

If you think about it, there are a LOT of liberals who have TIV(p). Perhaps the majority.

The description of someone as a jerk or evil is inadequate because it lacks detail, precision, and reliability. Courts and penal authorities need more in order to make coherent sentencing, confinement, and treatment decisions.
