Thanks. I knew I was being a bit loose with the numbers, but I'm not familiar with actuarial stats, and don't know all the ins-and-outs of how they are calculated or interpreted.

Anyway, good news for you. I knew about the difference it makes from what age you calculate because I checked that out when I took early retirement.

If you look at some of the tables, if you make it to your late 90s the odds of living another year are “almost” better than when you are 90.
Actuarial tables are fun.
