Is America “Trending Towards Secession”?
Wasn’t that already tried a while ago? How did that work out?

I would support my Great State of Texas leaving the Union.

What a stupid comment. The USA cannot survive as one leftist empire. We need sane adults to discuss how to break up the USA peacefully through state secession.
Secession was contested at that time. That makes a world of difference. I beleive what the author is suggesting is a willing dissolution by both sides.
Unless the political Left can insure it’s control of the Federal government forever, it’s vulnerable to having it’s policies undone just like those on the political Right are.
Neither side seems content to leave most major issues to states anymore, so it seems that a peaceful disoulution is the only solution for long-term stability.
That was back when the Northern States knew how to make stuff, now the industrial base is in the South, along with most gun owners....
The 1st civil war was over states rights and slavery. The 2nd will be over states rights and tyranny. The result will be like our revolution, liberty.
