If COVID-19 has actually had no statistically meaningful impact on U.S. mortality rates, why are the mainstream reporting bordering on hysterical? Let's dig deeper.

It's a premise of disease progression that we will experience an increase in the total number of deaths by all causes, primarily due to heart disease, respiratory diseases, influenza and pneumonia. As Dr. Briand notes, "This is true every year. Every year in the U.S. when we observe the seasonal ups and downs, we have an increase of deaths due to all causes."

But her analysis led to yet another revelation when she examined the 2020 data during the same period, because COVID-19-related deaths exceeded deaths from heart diseases. This was peculiar because heart disease is generally the leading cause of death. She finally discovered the truth: when she compared the frequency of deaths per cause during that period, she learned that as opposed to the predicted increase across all causes, there was a statistically significant decrease in deaths attributed to heart disease.

The most revealing finding is that "[t]his trend is completely contrary to the pattern observed in all previous years" and, most suspicious, "the total decrease in deaths by other causes almost exactly equals the increase in deaths by COVID-19."

The unavoidable conclusion is that the statistics are fundamentally misleading and that for what appears to be political reasons, deaths from other diseases are being categorized as COVID-19 deaths.

I'd say that was fairly obvious to most of us here on FR just a few weeks into the "pandemic." About then in the timeline the MSM was breathlessly reporting on the "pandemic" as if people were collapsing in the street from it. COVID-19 was the boogie-man incarnate, the Terminator of diseases. It could survive for days on any surface, was impervious to nominal hygiene routines, required Reese-like efforts to eradicate... Yet myself and others looked around and thought "Gee, for a so-called pandemic I'm not seeing it." Not only were we not seeing people dropping like proverbial flies, most of us didn't even know anyone who had come down with it.

Here we are, months into the "pandemic" and I know exactly one person who has tested positive. She didn't even know she had it, never felt any symptoms. She only got tested due to her position in the health care industry. From that one person I know of first hand, I'd have to start playing Kevin Bacon-esque "six degrees of separation" or some such. I know a guy who knows a guy who's parents tested positive. They actually felt bad - headache and chills - for less than a day. Wow. I've felt worse from a hangover, and far worse from a bout with food poisoning. From these two "connections" to COVID-19 it starts getting even more remote. The next level of people I know who have tested positive are all word of mouth online "so-and-so heard such-and-such tested positive" and the like, where I don't even really know so-and-so...

This "pandemic" was created almost out of whole cloth. It served it's purpose though - governors and mayors of a certain political bent used it as an excuse to exercise un-Constitutional powers amid the panic fomented by the complicit MSM. They managed to trash the economy - the one sure thing that was going to make President Trump unbeatable this year. With the economy roaring there was no amount of election fraud that would have pushed the addled Biden puppet across the finish line. They needed just enough discontent, and an excuse for massive mail-in, drop-off, anything but in-person ID-checked voting...and they got it. The fraud in this past election committed by the left would do any third world dictator proud.
