Happy to. We have caregivers that come in for a few hours most days to spell me with mom’s care (Alzheimers) so I can do other things. I have 2 younger kids along with two adult ones. One of the caregivers was here one day caring for mom, and the next day called in sick. Got tested, positive for covid.

So we all quarantined. On day 6, I and my adult son that leaves the house as I do went for covid tests. Negative, both.

On the night of day 13, so 13.5 days after a very weak exposure (I was barely in the room with the caregiver before she got sick, but maybe we touched the same things), suddenly I came down with a 102 fever. So when they say the incubation rate is 14 days, they aren’t kidding. (Though in CA they lowered the quarantine time to & days, go figure)

Actually, a couple hours before the fever, I had a dull ache in my stomach. Like indigestion. Though I hadn’t eaten in 6 hours. I definitely did not want to eat dinner so I didn’t. Then at 8 pm I felt tingly and the chills. Uh oh. Went to the bathroom to measure fever and when it was 102, which I never run, I knew it was the covid. And I knew everything in our house of 6 people had to change and fast.

So my adult son and I quickly came up with a plan of quarantine area and how he would get all meals for those of us behind that area and place them just outside, and even sick, I’d get everyone fed. My teen son with special needs started to get a runny nose and not feel well, so we assumed he had covid and kept him back in the quarantine zone too.

I masked and gloved up constantly to go in and care for mom. We kept her in her room ‘ bathroom the whole 2 weeks. It was a miracle but she never got covid. She has an zillion risk factors including Alzheimer’s and 88 years old. But she had been getting 10,000iu of vitamin d every other day which we raised to every day once I was sick.

I had already been taking: 10,000 vitamin d IU every other day, since exposed to covid, started it every day. 1 tsp of liposomal vitamin c a day (liquid, expensive, but worth it), a couple zinc lozenges a day, quercetin (dose is 4 capsules a day), dr axe probiotics, daily dose of magnesium glyconate (sp?) as well as a nightly hot bath (yes even when sick with covid) in magnesium flakes (it gets more easily into the body that way).

Those were my supplements. I added, once I got sick, 1 aspirin a day to prevent clotting. Also I have a natural MD who told me over the phone to double my vitamin d when actively sick, so for 10 days I took on his advice 20k IU of D3. I always took vitamin k with the d. It’s important.

I took a kids chewable curcumin from my daughter’s vitamins because I could-not eat well, so I didn’t think I could take adult curcumin.

I took Advil once I found out it got rid of the body aches. I took my migraine pills whenever the headache / migraine started. People complain mightily about the headaches from hell with covid, but it could be they are migraines. My imitrex worked perfectly at the first twinge of a migraine so I never suffered. But those body aches. The first night I kept waking up in absolute agony. It was not the superficial canines of a flu. It was deep bone and muscle pain like I had been thrown from a helicopter. I could not stand the pain and just lay in bed with tears coming down. After about 36 hours of it, I learned from a friend who had had covid, that Advil gets rid of that pain. It completely works. I took Advil every 5-6 hours round the clock for about a week. Then maybe only once a day or even skipping a day the second week. The body pain was the worst symptom for me.

And I learned from Dr Mercola to have a desktop nebulizer, food grade hydrogen peroxide 12%, and sterile water on hand. Once I got sick I nebulized highly diluted hydrogen peroxide (5 Oz sterile water to 1/4 tsp 12% hp) with one neilmed salt packet added. I did this 4x a day for 15-20 mins. I occasionally felt a pulling in my chest and id do it more often. But I never had ANY respiratory symptoms and I credit the nebulizing for that.

I hope this helps someone.

Thanks for the summary. Sounds like you managed well. What I find unfortunate is that once again, we have to go to alternative, complementary and functional medicine to manage this illness. IIRC, Mercola got his nebulizer protocol from Dr David Brownstein MD, who has been forbidden from telling anybody about it by the FTC. BTW Brownstein has his patients megadose on vit A and vit D3 the first 4 days. For me personally, vitA has been an eye opener. I use a liquid A emulsion.

BTW Dr Cathcart MD has a list of dosages for ascorbic acid for various illnesses. To get sufficient blood levels of VitC, one must take on the order of 100g per day, subject to bowel tolerance. Personally I have taken as much as 30g per days for illness. Find a formulation with OPC and the dosages can be lowered. I will PM you a suggested brand if you wish.
