About 8000 Americans die every day. In 30 days that would be about a quarter million. Since they blame almost death as COVID related now is there a difference??

Start with HCQ/Zinc/Azithromycin as a bonafide treatment for Covid 19, it should have been made an over the counter med, now positive reports of Ivermentin is a 99% effective cure for Covid 19. These two meds could have saved hundreds of thousands of lives but nothing from CDC or FDA, only criticism of President Trump.
Barring an 11th hour court victory they’re not going to have Trump to kick around much longer.

Depends what you mean by "work". If you mean "stop the virus dead in its tracks so we don't get a single new case" then nothing devised by human minds "works", not masking, not social distancing, not even vaccination since the anti-vaxxers will always be with us. If, however, you mean "slow the spread enough that ICUs are not overwhelmed" then lockdowns work, although the same effect could be achieved through a high percentage of the population masking up and practicing social distancing. I'm not a fan of the lockdowns either, but they are what happens when people refuse the less drastic measures.
I'm young and healthy, so my chances of dying from this virus are minimal. But life does happen and if I need to go to the ER for whatever reason I don't want to be turned away because the beds are full of people who thought they were exempt from the laws of biology.
Back in the 1970s there was another very influential doctor (Ancel Keys) who was colossally wrong in proclaiming cholesterol to be so bad it needed to be eliminated from the human diet.
Thoughtful research pointed out that every single cell in the human body requires it to build the cell walls — and that is the reason it is found throughout the body. And in fact, those who actually live the longest, have higher cholesterol than the average.
But when you eliminate the cholesterol along with the essential amino acids (protein) and essential fatty acids from the human diet, that deficiency causes brain and muscle atrophy — characteristic of “age-related” diseases — that cannot be replaced by unlimited plant-based (carbohydrates) — as the building blocks.
Those are the diabetics particularly susceptible to the present novel virus. Doctors can be horrifically wrong — and disastrously so with the media jumping on the bandwagon as though it is a proven fact.
I see Fauci referring to the “science” and the “data” but I never see him present any specifics. He’s just a fund raiser for his favorite cause — himself.
