We once thought that Regan would leave an indelible imprint on the GOP but the party is remarkably resistant to change. Trump won’t be able to change it either.
Consider the Tea Party. It had a big effect on the Hill for awhile before it faded away.
Trust me, the party machinery will wear down the good intentions of the freedom squad in short order. They will quickly learn what it means to “get along go along”. DC is a VERY corrosive and corrupting environment that turns and controls newly elected people with ease.
I can see your point but Donald Trump is different then any Republican that party ever had doesn’t surprise me that like 35 percent of the people at his rallies aren’t republicans
