If it is worth expunging, then, there’s REALLY something there and therefore, it should be worth ANNOUNCING now ( IF IT WERE TRUE ).
If it isn’t worth expunging, then there’s nothing worth looking in the first place.
Either way, the guys who made a big deal out of it ( e.g. Rep. Louie Gohmert, Sidney Powell ( tangentially, since she was only answering a question and mentioned it in passing ), and especially Gen. McInerney who actually spoke about it in some detail ) are all dealing in wishful thinking.
