I’m pretty sure most Americans don’t know what to make of this because it is legal for our news to report opinion as fact, and what is propaganda if it is not reporting opinion as fact?
Most of us live in communities with neighbors who may or not agree with us politically. Those neighbors are not rioting or behaving badly, mostly they just look embarrassed when the Left got in the news in Democratic strongholds. Are we to attack them because they disagree with us? Do we take the show on the road and invade other communities in other states because we hear there is civil unrest there?
There is no penalty, evidently, for lying in the press. We wanted so badly to be different from the Brits that I suspect we threw out some of their good ideas along with the taxation without representation. Now we live in a country where there are no agreed upon facts. Instead of facts we have legal propaganda, non-disclosure agreements, and a legal system seemingly ready to pounce on anyone who steps out of line by telling the truth.
The Brits were in our faces and a long way from their own homes.
The crazies are in their own communities and we are a long way from their homes.
The “British” in this situation are anonymous and well protected by shell corporations, lawyers, and useful idiots who are desperate enough to believe their enemies are on their side because they are willing to offer them a disproportionate portion of what is left of the community pie after it has been eaten by thieves.
There is no tea to seize and dump in Boston harbor.
Without truth then those who are strongest, loudest and most violent make reality.
