Why would the Trump administration try to cover up an attempted coup by claiming a helicopter crash?
Attempted couple violates social distancing guidelines. Thank heavens that didn’t happen. ;-)
1) Maybe he doesn't want to tip off all the players that he is wise to them.
2) Maybe he doesn't want to create a violent civil war initiated by certain members of the conservative movement. If this story is true, I know I would be looking to get my pound of flesh, and then some.
It'll make the movie Seven Days in May look like a walk in the park.

Trump would be screaming this from the rooftops, and waving the bloody shirt if US troops were killed. It would be such compelling evidence of election fraud that State legislature would have no choice but to appoint the Electors.
This smells like a disinformation op by nefarious anti-American groups (China?; Russia?; CIA/Democrat Party?) to discredit the real fraud investigations.
I’ll bet that none are ever identified in the lame stream media. But if they do, odds are that some are aircrew members.
