It seems to me that this
is out there (and has been),
if I were one of the 900 that
did not vote for mush head, I’d
be screaming holy hell that my
vote was disenfranchised. You
wouldn’t have to call me to see
who I voted for. Are our soldiers
overseas kept that much in the
dark on current political events?
As former military, I used to have problems constantly with my registration getting deleted. I was voting absentee in Dade County, Florida.
After always having to check that I was still registered so that I’d get a primary ballot... I’d have to check again to make sure that I’d not been deleted from the rolls between the primary and the general.
Happened to be home one year between the primary and the general... so called up to see if I was still registered. They said no. So, I went down to the Dade County courthouse to look at the book. My (uniquely identifiable) name paired with my absentee address was in the book, but crossed out...
But there were three other voters with my exact same name at other addresses in Miami. I made them remove those others. There’s only one other guy with my name in the whole country... and his messy divorce messed up my credit pretty good for a while. There weren’t four of us in Miami.
It’s hard enough just to make time to vote in some military assignments... harder still to ride herd on if they counted your vote, after the fact ? Did YOU do that... from your comfy chair in front of the TV ? Try doing that from a fox hole in Afghanistan... or a naval vessel in the middle of the Indian ocean ?
“You wouldn’t have to call me” ???
I’m trying REALLY hard to leave the expletives and the pejoratives out...
But...
