Don’t be a Debbie Downer. You are in no way better able to foresee the future than anyone else. We must give it everything we have. Don’t surrender without a fight. And stop trying to discourage others.

There’s surrendering and then there are strategic retreats. We aren’t there yet but it’s coming. These hearings are grandstanding only - nothing will result from them except for politicians being able to say “see, we tried!” when re-election time comes about.
