If this is true, it explains why certain key Congressional Republicans are trying to squash Trump’s refusal to accept Biden’s victory. It may not be in the national interest for the truth about electoral interference, across the globe, to come out, so they might reason. Of course, many left wingers have suspected this for many years, so elements of the left may in fact ultimately support Trump, if all this speculation turns out to be more or less accurate.

I think you both are right. If the CIA is involved it most likely explains the reason why many GOPers just want to hide.
