Please tell me then. I am not challenging you, I really want to know. I only have access to mass media and second hand sources like most people. I am legitimately trying to find the truth of the matter and not someone’s wishful thinking. I am at the point where I don’t trust the media, academia, or the government, but I don’t necessarily trust conservatives with an axe to grind either.
And no, I don’t even necessarily trust my own perceptions of things. I have had ideas about things that were shattered violently over the past couple of decades. I don’t want that to happen to people on FR, because that is a terrible realization and it won’t make you like the world.
Well thank you for responding. Dont worry about Conservatives as a block because Conservatives are not actually block thinkers. Take a look at this thread from a little distance and you will see facts and figure interspersed with discussions.
That is not what you fear. You will also see see a small percentage of what you fear, and in addition out and out saboteurs. This is a free and open forum, there are usually 1 to 4 liberal disinformation trolls on the forum.
By your response I see you are not one of those. I welcome you to FRee Republic where all points of view are welcome, but... some are woefully misinformed and do not engender respect. Respect is earned here, there are no participation trophies.
I really have lived around the world all my life, its a military thing. I LOVE cultures, but none can compare to the Junea Christian ethic of western civilization.
Americans have it so easy, but that Grace was earned by men living that ethic. There is a lot left over because God’s gifts are abundant. The atheists know in their hearts they do not deserve such blessings, and end up hating those that earned them by self sacrifice and self discipline.
The world is not at all what it seems, when you walk a Godless life.

Frankly America is being humbled right now, what you see is in a large part panic from people who have lived all their lives secure in their freedom, only to realize suddenly just how fragile that freedom is.
I cannot pretend to be so strong, what is happening frightens me also. But I also am a believer in the God of Abraham and do have a relationship with Him. And so I am bolstered in my faith. I could see this as the end of days for America because America deserves punishment for out immorality. It is one thing for Godless heathens in a backwards country to enact social norms of perversion and child sacrifice, but we k ow better.
However because of some church prophecy of God warning of the days of Trump and this election being God’s hand to humble this nation and restore our freedom I have hope. And I have a pattern for these stories to fit. A framework makes a lot of difference these days.
