First premise is a liberal viewpoint. A pretty shoddy strawman that. I do not see conservatives dismissing things they do not like automatically as wrong. I see them as enjoying discussions on the topic as to how to correct the issue.
Your second issue is a liberal viewpoint also. Conservatives like point out that the mean temperature in the last decade has actually trended downward, and that the present cycle of lack of sunspots corresponds to the possibity of a Mandir minimum cooling trend.
Itsibers that say well it could be true... or not.. but do not actually understand the cyclic nature of long term cooling and warming trends that tend to follow 400 year cycles.
How interesting that your third premise is that conservatives can’t deal with facts they do not like, inferring that liberals can. Yet conservatives actually realize that there are only two genders and that chromosomes come in XX and XY flavors not WXYZ.
So that is three liberal projections that you state as conservative ones. So when you say “we” I really do not think that word means what you think it does.

I have been here since early 1999 and a little before. Click on my screen name and you will see. Yes, liberals do get things wrong, and they are pretty big things about human nature. Most of the things that conservatives get wrong are about particular facts.
The problem as I see it is that we pretend that we are experts in fields that we have not studied. I am not saying that global warming is true, I just don’t know and what is more, I don’t think most people here know. Whether global warming is true or not doesn’t change the fact that capitalism is the best system we know of to increase the material standard of living for people across the world. Although that is true, it is INDEPENDANT of the truth or falsity of global warming.
Abortion is a moral wrong, but that fact is INDEPENDANT of whether it has lead to an increase or decrease in crime. Even if we admit that it has lead to a decrease in crime (I am not saying that it has), it would be like saying that we should kill the lowest income half of society to boost the per capita GDP. It is morally repulsive INDEPENDANTLY of the practical effects.
I really hope that evidence of vote fraud comes to light and that Donald Trump won the election. It would mean that American’s have had enough of SJWs, socialism and leftwing social engineering. But if we fool ourselves on this, how will we know if we are winning or just trying to convince ourselves that we have already won a battle that we are in the middle of losing? I have been here 20 years, and the cultural and economic situation has deteriorated to a degree that would surprise us, and Freepers back then were not the most optimistic of people. The first step to fixing the situation is having an accurate picture of the world around us. The unfortunate thing is that we are panicking and we just won’t admit it to ourselves.
