this just runs counter to your world view...you are experiencing cognitive disassociation.....think of it this way everyone is capable of highly evil acts. when some one that has no political power gets caught they usually get punished. when some one has and power money it becomes hard to catch them and because a child molester is consider irredeemable by society as a whole those involved will spend there fortune and political power to prevent being caught. these individuals also will network with others to prevent being outed....now think what happens if those involved in a pedophile network decide to work together. you get corruption on the scale you are seeing today.
