this pure bullshit. As a physician I can SUSPECT Covid based on symptoms. But those symptoms are identical to any number of viral infections including the flu.
But I ONLY diagnose Covid if i have a positive antigen or PCR test result.

The PCR test tests for the presences for the exterior protein spikes. Many other viruses have those spikes: last year’s common cold, even some of the viruses in the MMRV vaccine. Therefore, this is another source of false positives. There were at least 5 strains this spring that COVID consisted of; all detected in the PCR test.
NYS is counting repeat positives of the same patient as new cases.
Bet NYS isn’t the only state doing that..
“Cases” are a just a general indicator of trends...test more & get more cases. The real crux of the COVID-19 situation is hospitalizations and ICU bed occupancy...both are at their all time highs for COVID-19.
BTW: having the SARSCOV2 virus in your bloodstream does not kill you (plenty of asymptomatic or minor symptom people out there)....it is the effects of having the COVID-19 virus that kill you after you get sick enough to go to the hospital....pneumonia, heart attack, ARDS, blood clots, etc., etc..

In the real world, a “case” is a person who is sick with a disease and undergoing treatment by a doctor. In order to get rid of DJT, the medical directors redefined “case” to mean anyone with 1 or more CV19 viruses, sick or not.
They redefined death to mean anyone who died, and who had 1 or more CV19 viruses.
Well, after all, you can’t very well do a Great Reset if everyone is outside watching, now can you?
That explains the four PCR tests taken by Elon a few days ago being two + and two - the same day, nurse, and facility. It’s readily apparent that most, if not all, labs are “spinning up” the PCR too high thereby creating false positives. Guess we’re back to money and power again, the Hippocratic oath be damned.
I am in the south beach area Of Miami for a little break from work. I went by the convention center yesterday, thousand people lined up and cars wrapped around the block. Most were laughing carrying on in line taking selfie’s, and folks sitting alone in their cars with mask on. Why? They are there for Covid testing to run to the numbers up on DeSantis. The south beach mayor is on of the 5 Florida mayors trying to force the governor’s hand to do another statewide mask mandate.

You would be wrong. yes we are seeing more cases because of more testing but there are also more cases. Those 2 are not mutually exclusive. Right now we have double the people hospitalized we did in March. The system is definitely feeling the strain. Fortunately the death rate is no where near what is was this spring but some people are still very ill. Are masks and lockdowns the answer? - absolutely not. But the rise in cases is real

My wife just got a message from her friend - whose 63 yr old father tripped in a parking lot and broke his hip day before yesterday...
Apparently, he needs hip surgery so they’ve admitted him to the hospital. Last night, they gave him “the test”... Yepperoonie- positive for the dreaded Covid. (NO symptoms whatsoever)
Now, we all know that the hospitals get what - $30,000. per case?
I recommend that he demand $15,000. From the hospital plus NO charge for his surgery. Otherwise, hobble on out and have a REAL test done - then call the newspapers and explain how the hospital is double-dipping.
