“You just validated my post about your mentality. You made a point...a very POINTED point, I might add about questioning the information because of the faith.”
Scientology is not a “faith.” It is a long con.
Adherents can be presumed to be crazy, or stupid, or both.
It’s not about YOUR definition of faith.
Faith is the belief in something unseen.
For you, I am hoping it’s a belief in Jesus Christ.
Belief in his virgin birth, to his death and resurrection.
For them, it’s a different ‘something unseen.’
You and I are free and legal to call it a ‘long con.’
It is still their belief system. Do I accept it? No.
Do I accept that under our Constitution they have a legal right to practice it? Yes.
They are legally bound to not harm those they come in contact with, minors, elderly, mentally incompetent, and the such... Do they follow those legally boundaries? Certainly, not in all cases. We’ll deal with those, as we can within the scope of laws.
In the eyes of the world, we Christians are considered to be ‘the foolish.’ We’re okay with that, right? Christ warned us about being rejected as He was rejected....
Back to my earlier point.... No pun intended...
Though I disagree with Scientology strongly, it’s not going to stop me from reading an Executive Order. I read it from my perspective, not hers. :)
