I don’t see the logic in thinking masks are some sort of manipulation or control, but maybe that’s because I wore them at work before COVID.
Most of the spread seems to be occurring in mass indoor gatherings, especially restaurants and bars where people remove masks to eat or drink.
Your personal experience doesn’t really generate useful data. For example, if you’re generally healthy it’s entirely possible that you caught COVID and had zero symptoms, and spread it to others through your interactions.
Neither does your generality of saying most of the spread is from large indoor gatherings. How would you know? It takes 3-10 days to germinate. Transmission could be from anywhere.
