As for being a grandstander, he became famous for his defense in the egregious mistreatment of Richard Jewel, however it is his behavior in the Sandeman case that colors my perception of him. We don’t know how much Sandeman ultimately received but there is no reason to think he got one tenth and maybe not even 1% of the inflated demands. It was never realistic just hot air.
