The reason the cheaters ran more switching in Trump heavy districts was to keep the percentages in line. Think about it, if you’re trying to keep the differential at around 3%, any large Trump turnout would make it hard to switch votes elsewhere to make up for the differentials statewide, so you just keep applying the algorithm even in in unlikely biden vote areas.

One of the main characters, Lilly, works for an off-track betting operation. Her job is to go to the racetrack and lay huge sums of her employer’s money on the long-shot horses, to reduce their odds, so the payoff will be close to the original track odds the off-track bookie has set up.
That’s what this reminds me of. Trump is a long-shot horse with huge odds for payoff, and she’s there to reduce the odds.
