After spending some time in the left organizations in the 60s & 70s, all of which was on the order of that FBI informant who sat in on the Weather Underground planning sessions that were planning the death of 25M Americans, I’ve feared this for decades.
Some of those same WU people were protected in rural safehouses back in the day and many just blended in with rural populations over the past 50 years. Their children intermarried with locals and each other. Family traditions involved planning ways to facilitate Iranian operatives across the Canadian border in the 90s. Immigration marriages were encouraged. Adopting otherwise illegal kids was, too, with false papers and false testimony.
I lived a watered-down version of the threatened Maoist style state in a rural area successfully taken over by radical leftists. I mean people I barely knew would ‘stop by’ to ‘visit’, heads on a swivel, hoping to uncover some sort of information that could used as leverage against us.
Social isolation. Teeth-gnashing jealousy when we were able to decentralize our business markets outside their control and eye-crossing hatred at our successes. Demoralization campaigns. Whisper campaigns. Rumor mongering. One incident of sabotage to our home.
All of that was covert and surreptitious, because we lived under rule of law. I can imagine what it would be like when the left controls the *law*.
Believe it. Fear it. Fight it.
