As I wrote last week, embattled Senate nominee Cal Cunningham has been getting brutalized by the North Carolina political media down the homestretch of his Senate campaign, something you rarely see happen to Democrats here in NC.
Here we are a week later, and things haven’t gotten any better on that front for the married father of two who back in September looked like he might have a lock on the race against his Republican opponent Sen. Thom Tillis. In fact, they’ve gotten worse when you watch what reporters have to say about their continued attempts to contact him in order to ask some questions.
In the final full week before election day, Cunningham – who admitted earlier this month to an affair with the wife of a fellow Army veteran – has been hit with, among other things, the dreaded “empty chair” treatment from the media, courtesy of local news outlet WTVD.

With polls showing a serious tightening in this race, and considering one North Carolina State University political analyst’s observation that “it’s hard to attribute [Cunningham’s erosion in support] to much other than” the affair scandal, Cunningham might find that the voters he needs to defeat Tillis on November 3rd simply won’t show up, either.

Jody Cunningham’s inability to keep it in his pants and his refusal to address the issue really has earned him some serious negative press here and it really has hurt him in the polls. I’m confident Tillis will win now whereas before I thought Tillis was a goner. The funny thing is Jody was hand picked by Schumer and out of state Donkeys sunk $80 million into his campaign. I hope it costs him, though Rasmussen has him beating Tillis 47%-44%. I guess voters must find his sexting escapades endearing.
I want to see him hauled up on UCMJ Adultery charges , tried by his fellow JAG officers before a mixed jury of General officers and Command Sergeant Majors.
The Firing Squad will be PFCs using Ruger 10/22 Mini-14s with two magazines each of .22 Shorts.

Apparently screwing the wife of a military subordinate caused his popularity to skyrocket. Weird times we live in.
The polls are either old or inaccurate. Tillis will win easily. Take that to the bank. Cooper, on the other hand, I think he’ll win.
It’s sad that this race is still kind of close. The worse thing for cal and his followers would have been secretly taped at a prolife meeting or praying

Cooper, for all his flaws, he's seen as an honorable man so that's why he will stay in the Governor's Mansion.
Yeah the time to replace the RINOs is in the primary, not the general election.
I think Trump is going to drag him along on his coat tails. I think even Cooper is going to have a closer run than many believe.
