When all is said and done, the influence of tech companies has been one of the most important factors in politics today. Its getting more and more attention but still nowhere near what it deserves. Forget the obvious stuff like Twitter banning the NYP. With a subtle tweak of an algorithm Google has the power to swing nationwide elections or nudge political orientations of millions overtime. Its safe to say society would be VASTLY different if it wasn’t for their interference.
