Why is it is always the man’s fault? Out of 100 divorces, 70 are filed by women. With such odds, is anyone surprised men are not asking women to get married?

Women file first to protect assets because men have higher rates of criminality, mental illness/drug/alchohol addiction, satyriasis, domestic violence and while women do engage in spousal abuse, they can seldom actually kill a man with their hands. Unlike men, who kill women frequently with their bare hands and are often surprised by it.
Look at Derek Chauvin, his wife filed immediately to protect their assets from the legal peril he is facing.
It pisses men off to hear the facts, but the numbers speak for themselves. Women marry for stability because of the high physical cost and time investment in raising progeny. Men who derail that stability get served.
The other reason women file first is menopause. It’s a trying time for both spouses, but if there are any cracks in the relationship, menopause is going to blow them wide open.
It’s also common to dump the asshole you’ve been putting up with for the children’s sake when they leave home.
I am not saying women don’t also do these things or have these dysfunctions. Just that the 70/30 filing split is reflective of the general statistics on crime and social dysfunctions.
If you marry a wild, hot-mess that hasn’t lived in the same place for more than 10 months and parties like a rock star, because she so fun & good looking, don’t be surprised if s**t goes sideways.
We (men) should use more discretion when choosing a mate.
An expert just told me that, in her opinion, the increase in divorce is due to women having more financial independence.
Either by working or by welfare/subsidies, women are less dependent upon their husbands. The reason women file for divorce more often is because wives are more likely “the book keepers” for the household.
Most failed or unhappy marriages are the result of marrying too young or for the wrong reasons.
