Once they convinced people that women must have jobs outside the home, women left their children for the workplace and the left had unimpeded control of the future.
Most humans need a “purpose” larger than themselves ... especially when they’re bored from being locked away or restricted from normal social interaction by their local tyrant (governor; mayor; unelected bureaucrat) or when they’re frightened (again the result of the deliberate actions of politicians and, of course, “The Experts”). And since many have turned away from religion, “saving the planet” and “stopping systemic racism” become their “special purpose” in life (or in Toobin’s case his “special purpose” takes on a whole new meaning ... like Steve Martin’s in “The Jerk”)

The resulting moral vacuum is filled by a demand to obey an worship the central government and the Party elite. So “anything goes” transitions to “only what we say, goes”.
It’s not succeeding, it is failing bigtime and it’s emptiness is being exposed for all to see. The pseudo-elites are trying to shove it down our throats by convincing us it is everywhere, but it’s not working. It’s an “Emperor Has No Clothes” thing.

Sure; it is depressing to watch. I can imagine what it is like for older people who remember better times.
Sure; culture must be transmitted, and they’ve worked for half a century to destroy it. I’m not a WASP, but everything that is included in “white privilege” is in fact the WASP culture - and it worked. Blacks from West Africa who learned that culture do well here, while their American cousins mock and rob them.

Agreed. There has been some publicity of the racist anti-racist training like at the nuclear labs at Los Alamos. But I sat through similar racist training at defense companies around 2015.
Defense contractors were teaching that sort of thing because it was necessary to get a high diversity score, which resulted in preference for contractors. Way cheaper to socially engineer the workforce than build a better rocket.

Social justice identity politics is a reversion to tribal morality - complete with ordering people to live out their assigned stereotypes.
This is only possible because we’ve eroded traditional sources of identity like strong extended families and religion, something that can be a surrogate for family for those without.
Token opposition was the entire purpose of Bush League Republicans.
To make us think we had representation when they were in fact assisting Democrats advance their agenda.
