President Trump is reportedly in possession of Hunter’s hard drive and is preparing to release it to the public.

That's not President Trump's business. Its not President Trump's department. He is the president.
The New York Post will do the deed if there are indeed such photos/videos. In huge attention grabbing headlines on their front page. After all, the Post has the hard drive too.
