I am so sorry to hear this. I cannot imagine having to go through this with my mom, who passed 3 years ago at the age of 87. It’s horrible.

My mother in law is 92, decent health for her age, lives alone but a caregiver comes 3 times a week. She is lonely as hell. Her children take turns visiting every couple of weeks, but it’s only enough to keep her from going off the deep end.

I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

And a great majority of these elderly have no interest or technical awareness to participate in Zoom or FaceTime calls. If they DO have cell phones, they’re flip-phones or Jitterbugs, not smartphones with apps.
