Pinkerton has called him a contractor agent, saying they were not an employee. They haven’t completely disavowed him:

Police are backing off the “He’s not antifa” excuse. Now it’s “it’s unknown if he had any political affiliation.”
According to the Denver Post the licensing requirement is only for Denver and a couple other subburbs. So he may have been employeed elsewhere as a legit security guard..
A modern “journolist” would not ask a question that might shed light ons something besides The Agenda. Ain’t nobody got time fo’ dat.
