Would you please comment on the t-cell assertions and whether Dr. Fauci has been playing fast and loose with the percentage of the population which is at risk?
Sure
It is pretty clear that there is a period of IgG antibodies that prevent reinfection kn the immediate period that gradually diminished in about 90 days. There appears to be T cell (memory) immunity thereafter. It makes good sense from an immunology standpoint. It is also in T cell memory that there is probably partial immunity. It would explain and seem to fit why herd immunity should be reached at a lower infection rate than with a truly new species of infection
It is my opinion and judgment (for those who like to dunk on me yes this is my theory based on a lifetime of education) that Tcell immunity likely confers long term immunity and it has been shown to be stimulated by several of the vaccine lines. This is why I believe that the vaccines that have gone through phase three trials and have stimulated both antibodies and T cells are the real deal and safe for consumption as it replicates the natural or wild type response to this disease
