I took that and it almost killed me. I have had Tinnitus since my reaction to the drug. The doctor told me I’d just have to live with it.
So I’m an anti-vaxxer if I won’t be first in line for this one?
When the survival stats for most are in the upper nineties, wouldn’t giving a shot that’s only efficacious half the time lull people into doing all the things the CDC says we shouldn’t do? Things that might be more useful than the vaccine in some cases?

My plan has been to wait until I see the reactions of others to the vaccine.
The treatment that Trump had sounds more promising because it involved a transfusion with antibodies to the Covid already in it, so it avoids triggering the hyper immune system response which is what kills people. The problem with widespread distribution is obvious, though.
In the meantime, I will just keep doing the same thing, mostly staying home and being careful.

I am not in favor of it being mandatory. There are lots of diseases with upper 90 % survivability we vaccinate. Chicken pox, measles, mumps.

I am going to explain this once...civilly. I do not move my mouth outside of my areas of expertise and I am tired of your snarky ad hominem attacks. Here are the facts:
Remdeivir DOES NOT cure the virus. It in a percentage of cases reduces the duration of symptoms and severity of progress if administered in time. It does very little for late phase and critical illness. If there were a cure, no one would die of the disease. Remdeservir was originally studied in Ebola, and remains an imperfect therapeutic with some useful cross reactivity to coronal species.
Regeneron is an experimental monoclonal antibody. Any idea how it is made. Let me tell you. A host cell has the mRNA which codes for the antibody transposed into it and the protein synthesis of the antibody is accomplished by the cell. This is the exact mechanism by which one of the so called dreaded vaccines according to you works. So you sing the praises of this cure and it is exactly the same as the vaccine you state rewrites your DNA. Which, by the way, you conveniently never answer. There is an emergency use authorization (EUA) and there are 1 M doses of this therapy, and 330 M people in the united states. This "cure" is being rationed based on areas of outbreak, and is NOT widely available.
While you as previously stated trumpet the "cure" this is the exact mechanism in which a vaccine, which will likely be available in oncoming weeks, work. it generates antibodies to the virus prior to being infected and therefore confers immunity. Vaccination and prevention is one part of the general management of a disease process. And a the oath I took states: prevention is ALWAYS preferable to cure. If you disagree with this, take it up with Hippocrates.
As for your HCQ/Azithromycin/Zinc fetish...it does nothing in mid and late phase disease. It is used very rarely if at all in moderate to advanced illness. A Rheumatologist would perhaps use HCQ in the treatment of certain autoimmune diseases, but the chances of a Rheumatologist actively treating CoVID is essentially nil. I take that comment with a large grain of salt. HCQ may have a role as a moderate or imperfect prophylaxis but not much else.
If YOU knew which news to watch, you would find that a better treatment (but not cure) for moderate disease is Ivermectin/Doxycycline. There is some promise with this but again, nothing cures a virus like an antibiotic CURES a bacteria. So touting that there is a cure is false, irresponsible, and endangers people who might believe your incorrect assessment.
The BS vaccine as you call it is based on the EXACT same principles as your miracle experimental cure. I will say that I am impressed with the theory of synthesis of monoclonal antibody infusions for treatment of a virus as this may be a potential cure, but it is not established and not widely available as you seem to think it is. I am flabbergasted that you cannot make the connection between the mRNA vaccine you erroneously state is dangerous and the miracle cure that work on the exact same mechanism of action, and are synthesized the exact same way.
This is exactly why when someone who does not have a knowledge of what is actually the mechanisms of action by which something works falls in the trap of making mutually exclusive statements -- which is exactly that which you have done here. I have treated critical illness for the last 20 years, and I have expertise in the modalities and appropriateness of treatments. I will always correct incorrect statements within my area of expertise -- and. you have made many such misstatements. I do not think you make them intentionally, while I do believe you are advancing the agenda of people who wish to continue to control the population. I have never said once there should be a mandate, and would fight with every fiber of my being against a mandate.

I’ve determined my own opinion without your consultation. I’m not taking an experimental vaccine for a virus that has known low risk drug treatments. If you want to take it knock yourself out but don’t try to convince everyone else that this untried not even on the market covid vaccine is a safe alternative to existing safe drugs. Because you don’t know that. Nobody does.
