Yelp is useless. My guide is to look in the parking lot. I look for police cars, buicks and pick ups.
Cops know the area and don’t have a lot of $$ to spend on food.
Buicks are mostly driven by older people who will not waste money on bad food or service.
Pick ups are a bonus.
I was riding with a fellow from the northeast through south Louisiana. We pulled into a parking lot of a place that had state troopers, Buicks and a lot of pickups and service vans. Great food and low prices.
I’ll make sure to patronize a restaurant that Yelp tags as racist.
Then post review on Yelp thanking them for directing me to that establishment.
It still feeds into search engines, affecting local SEO and your online reputation.
