So in August she was fighting for emancipation from her parents. To be successful in that you have to prove you are ready to be an adult responsible for yourself. Now she is saying how dare you pick on a kid. Exhibit 1 your honor on why her petition should be denied.

I shudder to think of the trouble that me and my friends could have been in if social media had existed in the 80’s.
There are a couple of incidents I can recall that could have been very embarrassing.
Don’t get me wrong, we weren’t like Claudia, but we were typical pre-teens and teenagers with bad judgement and raging hormones.
Thank God we had no social media.
Have you read her prior posts? This 15 year old ‘secretly’ recorded her mom, and then posted it... there was nothing loving let alone ‘smart’, in this 15 year old acts...

Nah. I’m guessing she’s scared silly, not only for herself, but for her mom. It has been my experience that when teens are faced with possible catastrophic illness in their parents, they are terrified and very much aware of how much they love and need them, and vice versa.
Good observation about teens, FC. You are right — faced with the real possibility of a parent dying of a disease wakes teens up to reality. They become vulnerable again. Let’s hope this changes her — and maybe her father, too.

Wow. In the Sixties I didn't do anything but go to Scout meetings and on camping trips. I heard about Woodstock at a Scout meeting some weeks after the happening. A white bread sheltered life was the norm. Dad's belt and Mom's Bolo paddle was the guidance.
All my dad had to do was look at me a certain way and I started crying. He could be very stern.
