What was the amendment? I couldn’t read it - so I have no idea what they were saying yes or no to.
The Democrats had deleted God and Israel from their platform. When they got attacked for that, they tried to have a floor vote to put the language back in. They had to have a 2/3 majority vote to do that. You can tell by the no votes they didn’t have the vote. They had to do two do-overs, neither of which got in any better. In the end, the speaker just claims it passed and got booed. Everyone there and everyone watching on TV knew it didn’t pass.
