RE: If someone had prior conditions but they were likely to live a lot longer if they didn’t get covid then it’s reasonable to say they died of covid.
In other words, Covid-19 HASTENED their death. We should call Covid a death-accelerator.
Any cause of death is hastening the inevitable. Nobody lives forever. If I get shot, the bullet merely hastened my death. I was going to die of something anyway.
But I died of a gunshot wound. We should be clear about that.
