Agreed. However, both the Russians and the U.S. have been doing this stuff since at least the late ‘60s. Over the Pole is the shortest distance between our respective heartlands.

See any resemblance? Blackjack is faster and longer range, Lancer carries bigger load, can be refueled and, reportedly has smaller radar reflection and better at low altitude, terrain-following.

The flight scenes of the B-36 are so awesome I had to buy the Blu-ray. Jimmy Stewart & June Allyson - "Strategic Air Command", Baseball Field in those scenes is Al Lang Stadium in downtown Saint Petersburg (FL). The RATO takeoff in the B-47 was from Tampa's MacDill AFB and I'd like to see the discarded footage from that scene for the changes in Tampa over those years. Harry Morgan is great as the Flight Engineer on the B-36 and Frank Lovejoy as General Hawkes does a great Curtis LeMay WITH CIGAR!
