If Trump doesn’t get a nominee approved, they may be inspired to vote so that they take the opportunity away from him. But if he DOES get one approved, they may be disheartened because they know that a constitutionalist court will shut down any of their shenanigans.
It could go either way.

I think it would have a tremendous disheartening effect on the Dem base. Losing a significant and consequential battle tends to do that, at least in the short run.
